MSU student files lawsuit against Jimmy John’s

Alexsandra Shalayko, the MSU junior who tested positive for E. coli after eating a sprouts containing sandwich from Jimmy John’s Feb. 4, filed a lawsuit against the company Wednesday. Shalayko was hospitalized for three days in Troy, but purchased the sandwich in East Lansing. Michigan has had the highest number of people affected by this outbreak, with nine cases, according to the CDC. The LSJ reported Shalayko’s health is improving, but she hasn’t fully recovered.
